Fortunately, the tone of the hate has apparently subsided--
although one recent report from a young woman says she
recently received hate mail--for talking about the music group,
Marilyn Manson (whom she's met and even kissed-- where, she didnt' say :-)

Overall-- and aside from the Miss Peggy Marilyn Police--
there has developed a SUB-CULTURE of abuse and even hatred
--around the subject of "Marilyn"-- which its practicioners gloss-over with rationalized "comparisons" (of their own dysfunctions) to Marilyn's!

That proud assertion came at the beginning of what turned out to be WEEKS of email harrassment from someone named 'Connie' (who later broadened her "attack"-- by jumping email servers and including an employee of the "new" server, "Castro@Terraworld.net" (or, as we saw her do later, FORGE email in Castro's name) in her attack. It was a big mistake, when "Castro" declared "War" on MNN's publisher, on Thursday, June 4, 1998.

Because, by June 5th, Castro's boss wrote back to MNN: That "Castro" could have his fun--OR his job-- but not both.

Also on June 5th (with her and "Castros" little game destroyed) 'Connie' emerged, once again...this time with the emailed THREAT: To expose MNN's publisher as a child-pornographer... IF we didn't remove "her" name 'Connie' from the MNN pages, reporting on (her?) abuse of 'Emerald'.

Here's "CONNIE FUN" (which any Marilyn fan should remember is lurking in the mind of this sick individual):

Two days after writing "We're done with you", the president of "Connie's" email-server (one of four that she boasts of having) lied to MNN and said that (her) email had been "suspended".

We don't believe anyone, associated with this sick (____) and so we tested it (sending an email where the "subject" was "test-inactive account" and the "body" was one word, "Test").

Not only was it a lie (that the email account was "suspended" but then "Connie" used that message as "proof of harrassment" and emailed ANOTHER ROUND of defamation: To everyone in the world, associated with Marilyn Monroe, with phonecards...even the Laramie Chamber of Commerce!

And on July 11,1998 we got a DEATH THREAT BY EMAIL (sent with forged email headers-- SMTP-- which "castro" confirmed that he'd taught Connie how to do).

Nobody does that... EXCEPT an apparent psychotic "Have a nice day" Marilyn "insider" and "addict"!

The problem with 'Connie's' demand (That we abridge our obligation as journalists-- to tell the truth about the PUBLIC history of a community's ongoing activities, in a responsible, restrained fashion); Or that we submit to coercive demands--from the outside-- and censor ON DEMAND our reporting of truth; Or that we actually submit to an ungrounded "demand"... and violate the basis of law in the United States, guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution's first ten amendments (which place the primacy of self-government ON the free will of the people)... all of these outcomes were unacceptable.

And the REAL problem with all of this, was "Yes, 'Connie', we DON'T know who we're dealing with!
We don't know who you are and neither does anyone else! So GET LOST!

So, what MNN reported, starting in 1997, was that 'Emerald' (the 14 year old) had told MNN that somebody named 'Connie' had been responsible for the abuse.

MNN's reason to report this was simple: To describe the public behavior of the online "Marilyn community".

Laser Radio/ MNN's response: We faxed Connie's letters to the police!

Threatened on Friday, June 5, 1998 with libel-as-extortion (that we'd be "exposed" as child pornographers-- UNLESS we removed the name 'Connie' from our web site) Laser Radio, on Monday, June 8th, IMMEDIATELY "kicked" a local police investigation of 'Connie'... all the way up to ("her", as it turned out) state Deputy Attorney General.
The office of Kansas Deputy Attorney General, Dave Debenham wrote back to MNN's publisher (Laser Radio) indicating that a police investigation DID occur; that the local County Atty had NO IDEA who 'Connie' was (another lie from "He's my good friend") and that the advise of the state of Kansas was for Laser Radio to get a civil attorney.

We wanted THE POLICE to find out WHO we're "dealing with" because, in our review of past online abuse from the FORMER 'Connie', we found one reference to our being "Lucky to be alive"!
As far as we're concerned, anybody sick enough to threaten (the impossible task, in this case) the "exposing" of MNN's or Laser Radio's involvement in pornography... is also sick enough (to be working with the web server employee, "Castro" to "Manufacture" pornography.. or to hire someone to hurt/kill us (for printing the truth about an obviously sick person)!

It appears to us that the threats, defamation, lies and ongoing abuse of 'Connie' (who we're sure is still generating all the sickness she can) are really designed to destroy The Marilyn Network News...AND also destroy the 20-year-old Laser Radio company.

She'll need more than the "deep pockets" of Curtis Management or The Marilyn Estate...to PAY for (as she has put it) a "Class action lawsuit" against Laser Radio: Suing Laser, for what... reporting the truth and for revealing public, online abuse of a "Community"? Nice try!!!

Kansas police are forwarded the emailed death threat, received via a California web business (which originally received it As we've said for years to "Marilyn Addicts": GET A LIFE!!!
